VSOP X CANELO


To showcase Canelo Álvarez's mastery in boxing while reinforcing Hennessy's "Never stop. Never settle" brand ethos in a way that defies category conventions, we chose to focus on an unexpected element - the boxing ring stool - as a symbol of perseverance, repetition, craft, and mastery. Our concept involved 55 stools, each representing one of Álvarez's fights, flying through the air to form a line leading to the champion.

Our team painstakingly set up and crafted real boxing stools, filming the sequence in reverse to create the illusion of stools floating into place. We even aged the earlier stools to reflect Álvarez's career progression. This attention to detail, combined with our tagline "Where Others Rest, a Master Rises," allowed us to convey Álvarez's mastery and Hennessy's sophisticated image in a way that defied category conventions. This approach allowed us to draw parallels between Álvarez's journey and Hennessy's meticulous creation process.
